8. Nervous System 101: Explaining Our Nervous System States & Why They Are So Important

Today’s episode is all about my favorite topic: the nervous system!

That’s because the health of our nervous system affects every aspect of our life. It is the most important system when it comes to our health and well-being. Especially when dealing with chronic symptoms in our gut health and mental health!

So many things we struggle with in our lives can be linked to our nervous system and how it’s responding to our environment and to threat.

By learning about our own nervous system and how it responds to stressors, we can actually shift the way our system responds to stress and build more resiliency. 

In this episode, I will walk you through what our nervous system is, the different components and states of our nervous system, how it operates, and how it responds to different stressors.

You will gain a deeper understand of what each state feels like for you, and if you have any dysregulation that may be contributing to your symptoms, triggers, feelings of being stuck, or overwhelm.
